Many of our residents and their families tell us they love our town centre location. You’ll find Bankhouse care home right on the main high street of Lesmahagow. Our location means we can easily participate in the local community and that we’re easy to find too! There are excellent public transport links on our doorstep to Lanark, Motherwell and local hospitals. We’re just 8 miles from New Lanark UNESCO World Heritage Site and the beautiful countryside of the Clyde Valley. If you’re travelling from further afield, hop off junction nine or ten of the M74.

Life at Bankhouse Care Home

There is always something exciting to look forward to at our care home in the heart of Lesmahagow. Our dedicated activities coordinator plans weekly favourites alongside our residents’ personal interests to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Expect entertainment from local performers, gentle movement and exercise, arts and crafts and baking to name just a few! Pampering in our on-site hair salon and services with our very own chaplain are among the highlights of life at Bankhouse. All activities are optional giving the people we support the freedom to do as much or as little as they choose.

Out and About

Bankhouse Care Home has access to a minibus so our residents can enjoy regular days out in the local area. During the summer months, we often pop to see our friends at Auchlochan Garden Village just down the road to enjoy their stunning 50-acre grounds and bistro.
